40年代のイギリス軍ファイヤーマンパンツをデザインソースに製作した一本。
素材にはコットン100%のオリジナルファブリックを使用。ロープ染色による糸を用い、ジャカード織機で平織りに仕上げています。
目指したのは、ヴィンテージのインディゴメティス生地に見られるような、奥行きのある色合いと経年による自然な色落ち。糸の染色から織りまでこだわることで、着用を重ねるごとに表情の変化を楽しめる生地に仕上げました。
ミリタリーウェアが持つ機能的な背景をベースに、素材の表情とシルエットを現代の装いに落とし込んだ一本です。
A pair of trousers based on the British military fireman pants of the 1940s.
The fabric is our own original 100% cotton cloth, woven in a plain weave on a jacquard loom using rope-dyed yarns.
Our goal was the rich color and natural fading seen in vintage indigo métis fabrics. By paying close attention to every step from yarn dyeing to weaving, we created a fabric whose character develops the more it is worn.
Built on the functional heritage of military wear, these trousers bring the fabric’s character and silhouette into a modern wardrobe.
