19世紀フランスのインディゴ抜染ショールから着想を得た一枚です。
ベースには60年代イタリアのドレスバードシャツを使用。
当時の藍の深みを再現するため、
可抜染料で下染めを施した後、インディゴを重ね染めしています。
柄はオートスクリーンでは不可能な100cmの大判を、
2枚の版を使い手捺染で一枚ずつ丁寧に仕上げました。
Inspired by a 19th-century French indigo discharge-print shawl.
Based on a 1960s Italian dress shirt silhouette,
the fabric is first dyed with discharge dye,
then layered with indigo to recreate the depth of color from that era.
The 100cm large-scale pattern — impossible to achieve with automatic screen printing —
is hand-printed one piece at a time using two separate screens.
